Watermarker is a nifty Mac utility app that lets you add watermarks to your photos or images. Packaged in a very straightforward UI, Watermarker allows anyone to use the feature-set it offers in a very hassle-free way. The app has been around for a couple of years now and today, the developer, Don Southard, has released Version 2.0 — a major release that was rewritten from scratch to take advantage of the newer APIs in OS X 10.10.
Watermarker 2 features a completely redesigned UI compared to its previous versions. The app now uses a dark palette, although the new UI does seem to lack polish in some areas, especially to the alignment and padding of individual elements. It also introduces some new features, such as annotations & a superb action extension. Just like the first version, you can add Text, Images or Strikethrough to your images and customize them to your liking. Additionally, Watermarker 2 now allows you to also add vector shapes (Squares, Circles and Arrows) to your images. You can also redact a part of your image by using the Pixellate tool. You can add multiple layers or a combination of these tools to your image. Once you're done, you can export the image out of the app, either saving it to file or share it directly to another app using the native share sheet in OS X.
If you want to process multiple images together, Watermarker 2 also allows you to batch rename them using patterns that you can customize. Need to resize an image? Yes, that's possible too. If you're a professional photographer and want to the same watermark to all the photos, you can create reusable presets in Watermarked 2.
